Frequently Asked Questions
What is Variable Tuition?
Variable Tuition is a need-based tuition assistance program similar to those used by many private schools, colleges, and universities. This program allows families to apply for reduced tuition that is right for their families’ financial situation. Thus, this makes a Southeast Christian School education affordable to many qualified students who could not otherwise join our school community.
Do I have to apply for variable tuition?
No, you are welcome to simply pay the full tuition amount.
What documents do I need to apply for Variable Tuition through FACTS?
W-2s, Most Recent Tax Information
Is there a deadline for applying?
No, you are able to apply at any time noting that processing time could be up to 4 weeks
Do I need to apply to Southeast Christian School to receive confirmation of my Variable Tuition?
Yes, please complete all of your enrollment information first
At Southeast Christian School, we are committed to granting access to as many families as possible.
In fact, no student at SCS pays 100% of the cost of education.
How do we do this? 3 ways.
First, through the financial support of our generous donor base including the generous usage of facilities through Southeast Christian Church* and fundraisers such as our annual gala.
Second, through our reserved assets. This is also known as our Endowment Fund.
Finally, the Colorado Child Care Contribution Credit which is the best tax break for annual donations. You can learn more about that, here!
So, you don’t have to worry! SCS families pay no more than about 85% of asking tuition ratesa.
*Our estimate for the use of the Southeast Christian Church facilities is $540,000 annually for 50,000 square feet. SCS clearly recognizes that should our school ever seek to build or relocate that market value for 50,000 square feet would be significantly higher.
And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” There is no other commandment greater than these.
