Welcome to Southeast Christian Preschool and thank you for your interest in our program! We are so excited to partner with you in the development of your child during their preschool years. Our goal is to provide your child with a safe, fun, and Biblically integrated learning environment where they can build the skills they need to successfully continue in their education journey.

Southeast Christian Preschool teaches a Biblical worldview in accordance with the following Statement of Faith. By enrolling in the preschool, families agree to these principles being taught in their child’s classroom, however, SCS Preschool does not require families to sign or abide by the Statement of Faith.

Step 1: Join the Waitlist

Southeast Christian Preschool operates off of a waitlist for all enrollment. Preschool classes are typically full and on a waitlist at all times. By joining the waitlist, you will be contacted if/when a space becomes available so you can begin the admissions process.

Once you have filled out the waitlist application, you have finished the admissions process until you are contacted about an available spot. You can fill out the waitlist application here.

The waitlist rolls over from year-to-year, so you only need to fill out the application once. For more information about the Preschool waitlist, you can view our waitlist policy.

Step 2: Tour

In-person private and group tours are scheduled on a case-by-case basis during the school year. Our 30 minute tour includes a look into our classrooms, program offerings, and time to answer questions. You can schedule your Preschool tour here.

A tour is required (with your child) before an enrollment offer can be made.”

Step 3: Application

Once you have been notified about an open spot for your family, our Preschool team will contact you with a link and instructions to fill out the online application.

*Please note that applications are only to be filled out by families who have been offered a spot from the waitlist.

Step 4: Enroll

After our Preschool team has reviewed your application, an online enrollment packet will be sent to you. At that time, you will be responsible for submitting the packet along with your non-refundable registration fee. The submission of this packet and fee reserves your spot in the Preschool program.

FAQs

About the Admission Process

Q: Do I need to reapply for the waitlist if I don’t get a spot this year?

A: No. The waitlist rolls over from year-to-year, so you only need to fill it out once. Please contact the Preschool team if you need to make any changes to your application.

Q: What if I have a currently enrolled sibling at SCS?

A: Our Preschool prioritizes siblings of currently enrolled students on the waitlist. Please notify the Preschool Director via email after submitting your waitlist form so she can make note of the family relation.

Q: Will I be notified of any openings, regardless of my preferred schedule?

A: If your family is next on the waitlist, and there is an opening that is similar or identical to your desired schedule, we will contact you. If the opening available does not meet your needs, you will be given the option to remain on the waitlist. The more scheduling flexibility you indicate on your waitlist application, the more likely it is that we will contact you with an opening.

Q: Should I tour before I have a spot?

A: A tour is required (with your child) before an enrollment offer can be made.

Q: What is the likelihood that I will get a spot, and how do I check my waitlist status?

A: Due to the nature of our wide variety of preschool offerings, positioning on the waitlist is subject to change based on the needs of the school. Each child’s position on the waitlist will be determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to:

Date and time that the waitlist application is submitted
Child’s age (which program they qualify for)
Desired schedule (full or part time)
Siblings currently enrolled at Southeast Christian School
Children of staff members at Southeast Christian School and Church

We are unable to predict if and when a space may become available for your child. That said, you are more than welcome to contact us to check in on your waitlist status at any point via email or phone call. While we cannot indicate a numbered “position” on our list, we may be able to provide some insight into the likelihood of something opening in the near future.
