Welcome to Preschool at Southeast
We are so excited to partner with you in your child’s education and spiritual development. At Southeast we believe each child is a gift from God. We are a comprehensive Preschool through Eighth-Grade program that has been serving families in the South Denver area for over forty years. As a mother of two, I have seen first-hand the importance of the relationship between home and school. We want to come alongside you to prepare your child for future academic success and help them to become all that God has created them to be.

General Curriculum
We use the Learning Without Tears curriculum to meet age appropriate academic milestones across all of our classrooms. To encourage the growth of the whole child, we also incorporate executive functioning strategies. Additionally, all of our classrooms lay the foundation of a Biblical Worldview through the study and storytelling of the Bible. We believe learning should be experiential. Classes are structured to allow ample time and space for children to explore their natural interests through play, free choice, and hands-on learning with intentionally selected centers and manipulatives.
Biblical Integration
We offer a Biblical Worldview in our teaching, with Bible-based curriculum and instruction in all classes. We teach all of our students that they can have an authentic, personal relationship with God and an identity in Christ.
Teacher Qualifications & Accreditation
Each staff member holds an Early Childhood Professional Credential or equivalent and meets or exceeds the Colorado Department of Early Childhood teacher requirements. Each teacher must also attend a Bible-based church and have a personal relationship with Christ. We are accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International. Our accreditation affirms our school’s commitment to pursue excellence in Christian based education, to meet established standards, and to follow an ongoing school improvement plan.
Our Program Offerings
Two’s Program
Two and half years old by October 1 (must turn two and half before attending)
The primary goal of our Two’s Program is to build children up in God’s love with an emphasis on social and emotional development. We provide a loving Christ-centered environment that focuses on inter and intra-personal skills acquired through play, storytelling and peer interaction. We also encourage children’s physical development by practicing age appropriate fine and gross motor skills.
Three’s Program
Three years old by October 1
Our Three’s Program addresses the development of the whole child within a Christ-centered environment. Our curriculum provides a fun introduction to new skills and concepts that lay a foundation for future academic success. We use age-appropriate techniques to teach children fundamental Bible stories that unfold the truth about God’s love and redemption for everyone.
Four’s Program
Four years old by October 1
In the Four’s Program, we place emphasis on building Godly character in every aspect of the child’s life through the exploration of Bible stories that share God’s love. Our curriculum, Learning Without Tears, uses fun activities to help introduce the fundamentals of reading and writing, including letter and number recognition, letter sounds, and the development of fine motor skills necessary for writing.
Junior Kindergarten
Five years old by October 1
Junior Kindergarten is designed for children who have completed a preschool program, but could benefit socially, emotionally or academically from an additional year before Kindergarten. Our curriculum and teaching practices aim to meet children at their developmental level and prepare them with the knowledge and skills necessary to step into Kindergarten with confidence.

Before Care
We offer a before care program on a drop-in basis from 7:30 AM until the start of school. The before care program may or may not take place in your child’s assigned classroom. Children are escorted from before care to their regularly assigned classroom at 8:20 AM.
