Homeschool Enrichment Program

Southeast Christian School is proud to offer a homeschool enrichment program for families interested in integrating a full day of quality, supplemental instruction into their regular homeschooling. Each enrichment day, your student will have the opportunity to grow in their spiritual walk and academic journey as they attend Chapel service, participate in STEM activities, build social/emotional skills, participate in apologetics conversations, engage in service projects, and attend specials classes with other students their age.

Our full day of Homeschool Enrichment programming is offered once weekly on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Each enrichment class contains a maximum capacity of 16 students ranging from Kindergarten to 5th-grade. Students are introduced to a new theme each month on which they can focus their learning and associated projects. SCS Homeschool Enrichment students also have the opportunity to participate in three assessment days each year alongside our K-8 students.

Umbrella Program

Southeast Christian School offers an Umbrella Program for homeschool families who would like to take advantage of the state assessments, record-keeping, and evaluative expertise that our school offers. Families interested in the Umbrella Program must submit an application. Please see the information below for how to register for the SCS Umbrella Program:

Applications for the Umbrella Program are due by August 31, and can be found here.

Following the Umbrella application, families must complete a Curriculum Plan and a Calendar of Projected hours/days. Colorado law states that homeschool programs must include the subjects of reading, writing, speaking, mathematics, history, civics, literature, science and regular courses of instruction in the constitution of the United States. The selection of the curriculum is at the discretion of the parent overseeing home schooling.

Homeschool programs must have no less than 172 days of instruction, averaging 4 contact hours per day. A calendar of instruction days must be included with your enrollment application.

Students are required by law to be tested in 3rd, 5th, and 7th grades.
