Biblical Integration & Worldview
At Southeast Christian School, you will see Biblical integration across all subjects, as well as Bible as a core academic class. Our main focus is on instilling a Biblical worldview in our students, which teaches scriptural truths about God, Creation, Humanity, Mordal Order, and Purpose. Biblical Integration is more than just memorizing Bible verses. Our teachers are trained to integrate Biblical truths throughout every discipline. Students are encouraged throughout class to think about not only the content they are learning, but how it stands up to what God’s Word says is true.
Teacher Qualifications
Our teachers are highly qualified and ACSI certified. The ACSI certification requires extensive study and training in Biblical integration, with teachers submitting a Christian Philosophy of Education. Our teachers maintain their certifications and licensure by earning continuing education credits in Bible and Education

Instructional Practices
All of our classrooms utilize a mixture of instructional practices, including direct instruction, independent work, and group work. Middle School students have 1:1 Chromebook ratios, and have access to a personal Google account, as well as Google Classroom for assignment submission. We place an emphasis on project-based, hands-on learning in order to engage our students in their education. This includes, but is not limited to: experiments, Socratic seminars, and research projects.
Electives Classes
Middle School students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of electives options while in middle school. These classes take the place of Specials. Some examples include: Art, Robotics, Creative Writing, Team Sports/P.E., Fine Arts, Boys & Girls Discipleship, Yearbook, Spanish, and Study Skills.
Service Projects
At Southeast Christian School, one of our goals is to shape students into disciples of Christ, giving them opportunities to show Christ’s love to their communities through service. Each February, SCS partners with a ministry organization to highlight during Chapel services and to our school community. For Middle School students, there are four full days throughout the school year designated as service project days. Some of these service projects include: Extreme Community Makeover, the Operation Christmas Child packing center, meal packing with SECOR, visiting local nursing homes, and cleanup around the school/church building.
Middle School Trips
Southeast Christian School offers two rotating, optional trips for 7th and 8th-grade students, typically for one week during the month of April:
- Academic trip to Washington D.C.
- Missions trip to Belize
These trips are scheduled on a year-to-year basis and are subject to change by the school administration at any time.
